LATROBE, Pa. —
Thursday was day two of Steelers training camp at St. Vincent, and the team was on the field for two practices.
The two highest-profile Steelers faced the cameras: Troy Polamalu and Ben Roethlisberger.
Polamalu, in particular, has been in the news lately for his comments on concussions.
Troy said Thursday, as he gets ready for his 10th NFL training camp, that he's feeling great.
"I feel very blessed and fortunate to be here today for sure. I feel good as I stand here right now," Polamalu said. "I probably would have given you the same answer five years ago. I probably would have been real surprised I would stand here five years later."
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who is learning a new offense heading into the 2012 season, has been ready for camp to begin.
"It's exciting to get back here and to be around the guys and really start putting in some real work, you know, in pads eventually when we get there," Roethlisberger said. "With this offense with these guys and coach Haley and everything and just get the ball rolling."
The first public practice at St. Vincent is scheduled for Friday afternoon.
