Police said a woman who was arrested early last month told troopers that she was storing cocaine in her body -- two weeks after her arrest.
State police in Greensburg said 31-year-old Tonya Lee Piper was arrested on Feb. 6 on an outstanding warrant. According to investigators, Piper was a passenger in a car that had fled from police when she was taken into custody.
At a court hearing two weeks later, investigators said Piper told a trooper that she had been concealing cocaine in a body cavity since her arrest.
Piper was taken to a nearby medical center to have the drugs removed -- totaling 14 grams of cocaine, state police said.
Piper is now facing additional charges of possession of a controlled substance, contraband and possession with intent to deliver.
