A 17-year-old boy is accused of raping a mentally challenged woman while his 14-year-old brother watched.
Sharon police said the 32-year-old woman struck up a conversation with the boys when they showed up at her Sharon home on Saturday.
Investigators said the 17-year-old asked for some cigarettes, and when the woman went inside to get them, he followed and attacked her.
People Channel 11 talked to in the community on Wednesday are upset about what possibly was a random attack.
"I just couldn't believe it. You know, this is close to my house, and I have my grandmother in the house, my fiancée in the house and my kids. It's appalling," said Charles Wedge, who lives in the area.
Police said the woman's 8-year-old son witnessed the assault and ran to his grandmother, who chased the two brothers away.
