Police issued summonses for two people for loitering to engage in solicitation Tuesday evening after following a van to Fairborn and catching the pair with their pants down.
According to a Dayton Police incident report, plain clothes officer spotted Lindsay Ruth on East Third Street while patrolling the high prostitution area.
Ruth was seen talking to the driver of a Dodge Caravan, which officers then followed as it wound through numerous streets to downtown Fairborn. Police saw a male and female go into the back seat and called for uniformed officers.
They contacted the pair, who both had their pants down, according to report.
The male at first denied any sexual activity, but then said he was going to have sex with the woman for free.
She told police he paid her $20 and produced the cash.
Ruth, 30, has multiple convictions for solicitation, loitering and one felony drug conviction. She was arrested Nov. 11 when she was found inside a drug house she’d previously been trespassed from. She pleaded no contest in that case and was found guilty of illegally occupying a nuisance property. That conviction was deferred, according to court records.
She told police she has a drug problem and prostitutes to get money for her and her boyfriend to buy drugs, according to the report.
The 23-year-old man in the van was issued a summons to court, but has not been formally charged. He has no criminal record and told police this was the first time he ever picked up a prostitute.
