Police are looking for a driver who they said reached speeds of more than 100 mph early Monday morning during a police chase in downtown Pittsburgh.
Investigators said the chase began on Liberty Avenue because the driver was going at least 100 mph, and was weaving in and out of traffic. The driver then hit a tour bus.
According to police, the driver also went onto a sidewalk, where he hit a garbage can.
Detectives chased the car toward the Bloomfield Bridge and then onto Baum Boulevard before calling off the chase because of the excessive speeds.
Once police stopped the chase, the driver hit another bus at the intersection of Liberty and Ninth avenues, but the driver was able to get away.
Anyone with information on the driver’s whereabouts is asked to contact police.
