Police hope images of burglary suspects lead to arrests
FORWARD TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
Police in Forward Township hope surveillance images of a burglary in progress will lead to an arrest.
Police continue to investigate after a man and woman were caught on tape breaking into a home along Wall Road last week.
Homeowner Gary Trunzo said he installed surveillance cameras after his house was broken into two years ago. The latest burglary was caught on tape, and police hope the public will help identify the suspects.
Two years ago, burglars were able steal plenty from the Trunzo family.
“All my wife’s jewelry. They got all our money, all the electronics, kids games, cell phones,” said Trunzo.
However, in the latest attempt, the would-be burglars didn't get inside. They tried getting in every window and door but were unsuccessful.
Police Officer Robert Curdie hopes the clear pictures will help lead to an arrest.
“On Monday, Halloween Day, (the burglars) came to the residence, tried to get into the back window and the garage door. Unknown whether they were spooked off, but the surveillance system got some pretty good pictures of them,” said Curdie.
“Burglars are cowards,” said Trunzo. “They don’t come when you are at home. They come when you are away. My wife and I are out trying to make a living, and these criminals are at our house while we are out there trying to make a living and live the American life.”
