PITTSBURGH —
Pittsburgh police have warned food delivery drivers to be on alert after three separate robberies in the past week.
Authorities said all three armed robberies happened on the city’s North Side along Waldorf and Vinceton streets.
According to police, during Tuesday’s robbery, the suspects flagged down a Wise Guy’s Pizza driver, pulled a gun and demanded money.
Drivers from Pickle’s Pizza and Mandy’s Pizza were also robbed over the weekend.
Steven Negri, owner of Mandy’s Pizza, said his drivers will no longer be delivering to addresses north of Franklin Road.
“It’s not worth my time and it’s not worth my employee’s time,” Negri said. “It’s not worth my customer’s time because (the thieves) could be standing in front of one of my customer’s houses.”
Officials said one of the suspects hit the driver from Mandy’s Pizza in the head. The victim was not seriously injured.
Police said they believe the same people are responsible for all three robberies.
