PITTSBURGH —

Police are looking for a man who they said shot at several Allegheny County Health Department employees outside their Lawrenceville office earlier this month.

Channel 11’s Renee Kaminski reported that four employees were hit with a pellet gun over a three-day period beginning March 5. No serious injuries were reported.

“It transformed their usual place of walking to go out to lunch and made it a threatening situation. They were quite upset about it,” Director of the Allegheny County Health Department Dr. Ron Voorhees said. “It was enough to hurt, raise welts and tear clothing. It was a very serious issue.”

The shootings are still under investigation, but police have identified a suspect who they said was shooting from inside a house on Penn Avenue.

“We were very concerned and needed police to solve it right away,” Voorhees said.

Investigators said bullet holes in a window helped them identify their suspect. His name has not been released.
