Pittsburgh police are asking for the public's help in locating the driver of a late 90s model Jeep Grand Cherokee that was involved in a hit-and-run on Sunday.
Investigators said a man was hit around 8 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Meadow Street.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was rushed to an area hospital and was listed in critical condition.
Investigators said the man was walking through a crosswalk when he was hit.
“It looks like he was hit about 20 feet from the crosswalk to the inbound side of Lincoln Avenue,” Pittsburgh Police Sgt. Mike Pilyih said.
Police said the car involved was a grey Jeep Grand Cherokee with rust holes over the wheel and damage in the right headlight area.
Investigators said the driver is described as a light-skinned black man, 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a thin build and a moustache. Officers said the man may be with a white female with blonde hair.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the PBP Homicide Squad at 412-323-7161 or Collision
