Police said a drunk and disorderly woman parked her car on some southwestern Pennsylvania railroad tracks to stop trains from coming through town because she dislikes the trains' whistles.
Monongahela Police Chief Brian Tempest said Bridgett Dixon, 42, was "sick and tired of hearing the horn blowing," though, he noted, "She doesn't even live that close to the tracks."
Police found Dixon's car parked on the tracks, with the driver's door open and no keys in the ignition, about 11:30 p.m. Friday. They found it after responding to a report of a visibly intoxicated woman screaming at a convenience store that her car was stuck on the tracks.
Police said Dixon told them that if she parked her car on the tracks and a train hit it that would stop the problem.
Dixon faces a preliminary hearing March 2 on charges including risking a catastrophe.
