Police: Woman sold stolen $20,000 necklace for $225

SEWICKLEY, Pa. (AP) —

A Coraopolis woman was arrested after police say she stole a $20,000 necklace while cleaning a Pittsburgh-area home.

Authorities said Jessica Gale Cox, 28, has been charged with felony theft and receiving stolen property.

According to police, a woman in the Sewickley Heights neighborhood reported that the necklace was missing after Cox cleaned her home, and Cox allegedly took the necklace to a Pittsburgh pawn shop and received $225 for it.

Cox is being held in Allegheny County Jail, unable to post $25,000 bond.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.
