The Allegheny County Port Authority is moving forward with a plan to change the way riders pay their fares.
Channel 11's news exchange partners at TribLIVE report that the Connect Card program will be available to more riders this fall.
Some passengers taking part in a pilot program have been testing the cards for a month.
The Connect Card lets riders tap prepaid plastic cards on electronic readers to pay for their ride.
Officials said there have only been a few minor issues with the program so far.
