Police said they arrested a man in connection with nearly a dozen burglaries over the past few weeks in Dravosburg.
Channel 11's Alan Jennings reported Tuesday that police arrested Adam Flint and placed him in the Allegheny County Jail. Investigators said Flint is responsible for all of the burglaries and they recovered most of the stolen items.
Lee Stanford was one of the many Dravosburg residents who said they were relieved Flint was caught.
“I thought about buying a gun, but then you think about what happened in Connecticut and you don’t want to deal with guns,” Stanford said. “I don’t care if they take my two TVs or whatever I have in there as long as they didn’t hurt my dogs.”
Authorities said the burglaries happened in the area of Goldstrohm Avenue, Euclid Street and North Clay Street.
Investigators said in most cases jewelry and cash was stolen.
“Yesterday there was one at like 12 in the afternoon. It’s all happening in broad daylight, though. I guess they’re knocking on people’s doors seeing if they’re there or not,” Dravosburg resident Jay Argyle said.
Several Dravosburg residents said they are planning on attending a council meeting Tuesday night at the borough building to complain about the burglaries.
“It’s Christmas time, so I guess people have a lot of gifts,” Argyle said. “It’s a nice town and I don’t usually have to worry. I used to keep my doors unlocked, but now they’re locked.”
