Bikers gathered in Oakland Wednesday evening for the Ride of Silence.
In its 10th year, the ride honors people injured and killed while riding bikes, and raises awareness for bike safety on the streets.
Those in attendance Wednesday biked for 10 miles through Pittsburgh’s East End, passing by several crash sites as well as several mayoral candidate offices.
Leading up to May’s Democratic primary, bikers hope to affect the election and increase awareness for making Pittsburgh’s streets safe for everyone.
