The United States Secret Service is investigating a possible threat made by a Rivers Casino employee last week while President Barack Obama was in Pittsburgh.
Sources told Channel 11’s Alan Jennings that an employee of the casino posted what could be considered a veiled threat toward the president on Facebook.
The Secret Service confirmed that the man, whose name has not been released, is on their watch list.
Management at the Rivers Casino said they’re taking the issue seriously, but cannot comment on individual personnel matters.
The Secret Service released the following statement on the situation, “We are aware of this incident and will conduct the appropriate follow up in this matter.”
If an arrest is made, the man’s identity, as well as the actual Facebook posting, will be released.
