MOUNT PLEASANT, Pa. —

More than a dozen fire departments responded to a blaze at a wood recycling plant in North Fayette Township on Thursday.

Authorities said the flames were reported at Wood Waste Recycling Inc, on Kelso Road. Officials said almost 3,000 wood pallets caught fire.

Emergency crews said no businesses or homes were in any danger. The fire was eventually controlled before it could spread.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
