Firefighters battled a large fire on the roof of a grocery store in Arnold Friday afternoon.
Officials said flames were reported at Farmland Foods on Rivers Edge Road just after noon Friday.
Authorities said roofers were putting a new roof on the building and the fire started.
Investigators told Channel 11's Jodine Costanzo that several people were briefly trapped on the roof of the building.
Two firefighters were treated at the scene for heat-related injuries, officials said.
"Your skin is designed to allow you to sweat and evaporate and remove that heat away from you. Our fire gear traps all that in so the heat inside your fire gear really brings up your body temperature while working in conditions like this," said Arnold Fire Department Chief J.C. Tedorski.
