MCKEESPORT, Pa. —
Police are investigating the shooting death of a man killed at Renzie Park after a birthday party.
Police said shots were fired after a fight broke out at the Renzie Park pavilion around midnight, hours after the park was scheduled to close.
A medical examiner identified the victim as Mario Berry, 35, of Duquesne.
Witnesses told police a group of people gathered at the pavilion at 4 p.m. for an adult birthday party.
Authorities along with K-9s combed through the park, searching for evidence.
"I'm really hoping that everybody's OK," a woman who was at the party told Channel 11 News. "It was just a party. I was up here earlier in the day. I got a plate of food, I left and now I get this phone call. I'm just a little worried. I want to make sure everyone is OK."
Authorities say everyone in the pavilion was kept by police for questioning, but so far no arrests have been made.
An autopsy on the body is scheduled for Saturday.
