CLARKSVILLE, Pa. —
Police were called to a home in Clarksville on Monday morning for a report of a restraining order violation.
Detectives said they found a man shot in the chest when they arrived at the home on Bowser Road about 10 a.m.
The man, whose name has not been released, was shot in the chest, officials said.
Police said they found the man on the side of the road across the street from the house. Officers collected a rifle from inside the home, but haven’t said if it was the weapon used in the shooting.
Officials said the man who was shot showed up at the house to visit a woman he was separated from. She was staying at the house with friends.
Police have not said if the homeowners or woman are involved.
Investigators spent hours Monday looking at cars in the driveway, climbing the hillside behind the home and checking for shell casings in the street as they looked for information.
Authorities have not released any other information about the shooting or potential suspects.
The man is at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital and his condition has not been released.
