SQUIRREL HILL, Pa. —

Police responded to an attempted home invasion in Squirrel Hill Friday afternoon.

Investigators said an elderly couple was home when they said a man and woman tried to break into their property on Linden Avenue. One of the victims told Channel 11's Julie Fine that the couple tried to tie him up, but he was able to fight them off.
