NEW CASTLE, Pa. —
After Channel 11 News first aired the story of two puppies stolen from a New Castle house, someone returned the Boston Terrier pups to their relieved owner.
Irene Matas, 75, said her dogs named Adam and Eve were stolen from her West State Street home on Tuesday. She said someone broke into her house and took the dogs while she was sleeping. The thieves also stole a television and camera.
Following the return of her precious pups, Matas said that she is thankful to have them back.
"I know a lot of people who aren't animal lovers think this woman is crazy being hysterical over these puppies," Matas said. "They are my little children."
State police continues to investigate. No arrests have yet been made.
