Surveillance video shows suspect breaking into Latrobe church

LATROBE, Pa. —

Police arrested a man accused of breaking into a church early Saturday morning in Latrobe.

According to police, surveillance video shows Charles Kunf, 33, walk out of his house across the street from Bethany United Methodist Church, throw a brick through the rear window of the building and steal the cash box.

Latrobe Police Chief Jim Bumar said Kunf confessed to the crime when officers arrived at his house Satyrday.

Authorities said Kunf is being held at the Westmoreland County Prison and faces charges of burglary and criminal mischief.
