Man tells officers he swallowed heroin, escapes police custody at hospital

WASHINGTON, Pa. —

Authorities in Washington are looking for a man who they said escaped police custody after being arrested on aggravated assault charges Friday night.

According to police, Robert Noble was arrested on aggravated assault charges Friday night because police said he chased a woman in the front yard of a home and threatened to choke her. Authorities said Noble also fought with police with they arrived on scene.

Detectives said Noble told them he swallowed 10-12 bags of heroin before being arrested and he felt sick.

He was then taken to a local hospital where he escaped, officials said.

Police continue searching for Noble and are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them.
