WILMERDING, Pa. —
A man police said prompted a SWAT standoff in Wilmerding on Wednesday was arrested by US Marshalls on Friday.
Investigators said the standoff began after a domestic dispute.
"I heard police announce to come to the window to show themselves," said neighbor Matt Jurich.
Police identified the man involved as 32-year-old Jonathon Deanes. Investigators said he's a convicted felon who was on federal probation at the time of the standoff.
Investigators said Deanes hit his pregnant wife with a gun, held a gun to an 11-year-old girl's head then ran to his wife's cousin's house across the street.
"She had lacerations. No medical treatment was done. She was just shook up and scared," said North Versailles Police Chief Vincent DiCenzo
Police said Deanes took off before the SWAT team arrived. Deanes faces several charges including simple assault, aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children and firearms violations. He remains in the Allegheny County Jail.
SWAT team members took the owner of the house Deanes escaped to into custody for a short time. Michael Roskov told police he was sleeping and didn't realize what was going on. Roskov is not facing any charges.
