Teen killed, person hurt in 2 Wilkinsburg shootings

WILKINSBURG, Pa. —

Two shootings near the same neighborhood left a teenager dead and another person injured early Monday morning in Wilkinsburg.

Allegheny County homicide detectives said they think the shootings are related.

Police said the first shooting happened on Paul Court around midnight. Investigators said a 19-year-old man was shot and killed. The medical examiner identified the victim as Jemel Howard Bay.

Minutes later, another call came in for a shooting on Princeton Boulevard, police said. Officers said someone was shot in the hand.

Detectives said the shootings are most likely related and there could be more than one shooter.

"We have a couple different scenes within the complex here where there's ballistic evidence indicating there was more than one person shooting here," said Allegheny County police Lt. Andrew Schurman.

So far, no arrests have been made.
