INDIANA COUNTY, Pa. —
The victims of two weekend tragedies that rocked the same small community in Indiana County will be laid to rest Wednesday.

Richard Shotts died early Sunday morning. A funeral service will be held for him at the Carson-Boyer Funeral Home in Rural Valley.
Police said Shotts was trying to protect his daughter from her estranged husband, Shaun Fairman, at her North Mahoning Township home. That's when investigators said Fairman allegedly shot his father-in-law.
Investigators said Fairman was then shot in the shoulder by his estranged wife. He is now facing charges in his father-in-law’s death.
Two days earlier, Christine Beatty and her daughters Amanda and Sara were found dead in South Mahoning Township. Funeral services will be held for the three victims Wednesday afternoon at Plumville Presbyterian Church.
State police said Beatty's estranged husband and the girls' father, Lewis Beatty, killed all three members of his family Friday.
Beatty is in the Indiana County Jail on three counts of homicide.
