UPPER ST. CLAIR, Pa. —
An offensive and vulgar Twitter page that targeted students at Upper St. Clair High School was discovered Thursday – and quickly taken down – but not before causing damage.
Channel 11's Timyka Artist reported that the page listed boys and girls at the school by name and included sexually explicit scenarios.
The account with username USCCRUSH2 invited users to anonymously post comments about students at the school. Within a few hours the account had more than 200 followers and just as many tweets.
"It's not cool if you don't want your name to be on there," said student Sam Connors.
One tweet asked a female student to "start blacking out again so we can start making out again."
Another tweet encouraged a freshman student to "make use of your unsung beauty and give it up to some stud upperclassmen."
All of the posts were made public, which meant that they could be seen by anyone who logged on.
Another similar account was suspended last year, Artist reported.
Shortly after Artist contacted the site's creator and district officials, the account was suspended. Upper St. Clair School District officials did not return Channel 11's calls for comment.
