Water conservation order in effect for several Washington Co. communities

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Pa. —

Power outages in several communities have caused a water conservation order to go into effect.

Washington County 911 said the order was issued due to a power outage at the Tri-County Joint Municipal Water Authority in Fredericktown.

Officials said the outage is affecting the water authority's pump station.

Residents in the following communities are asked to use their water for only absolute necessities until further notice: Vestaburg, Scenery Hill, Richeyville and Madlen.
