Water main break buckles Edgewood street

EDGEWOOD, Pa. —

A water main break in Edgewood caused a road to buckle and left people who live nearby without water service.

The break happened around midnight Wednesday at the intersection Vine and Greendale streets.

Crews had to shut the roadway down after pressure from the break forced the road to buckle.

People who live nearby were left without water service, however it was not immediately clear how many people were affected. Officials said the water was turned back on around noon Wednesday.

An outside contractor is working to fix the road.
