LAWRENCEVILLE, Pa. —
Authorities said they are looking for the man who robbed a woman at gunpoint late Monday night after she left a Lawrenceville bar.
According to police, the woman told officers she had just left a bar on Butler Street and was walking home on 44th Street and Eden Way just before midnight.
She said she was talking on the phone when a man approached her from behind, pushed her to the ground and pointed a gun to her head.
Investigators said the woman told them the man held the gun to her head and said, “If you know what’s good for you, you won’t get up.”
She said the man then took her bag and fled the scene on foot.
Women who work and live in Lawrenceville told Channel 11’s Lori Houy that the incident concerns them.
“It’s very shocking because this is a nice neighborhood. I work in the evenings and have never had a problem walking to my car. Now I’ll be nervous,” Kathy Bell said.
Police said they’re hoping surveillance cameras in the area will help them identify a suspect.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact police.
