Man Accused Of Putting Explicit Photos Of Girl, 15, On MySpace

A Sewickley Township man is accused of taking explicit photos of a 15-year-old girl from Jeannette and putting the photos on a MySpace page.

Police said David Burnett, 21, faces 274 charges, including sexual abuse of children, possession of child porn and unlawful use of a computer.

Police said Burnett took explicit pictures of the 15-year-old girl with his cell phone over a six-month span in 2008.

According to the criminal complaint, Burnett used the pictures “to control what the victim did by threatening to post the pictures online if she did not see him or do what he wanted.”

Police said they confiscated two computers and Burnett's cell phone in the investigation.

Burnett is being held in the Westmoreland County Prison on $25,000 bond.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 23.
