ARMSTRONG COUNTY, Pa. —
James Frank Schuey Jr. was on a hunting trip when he fell out of his bunk bed, according to officials.
Police said Schuey landed on a kitchen chair, which impaled his chest.
The victim's son and his three friends tried to save the man.
They didn't have cell phone service in that remote area of Worthington, Armstrong County.
Police said one of the teens left the camp site and traveled to another location to call 911. A 911 operator gave the teen instructions on how to treat Schuey's injuries until the emergency crews arrived to the scene.
Schuey was taken to Kittanning Hospital where he pronounced dead a short time later.
