Man Drives Truck Into Pole, Shuts Down Road In Jefferson Hills

JEFFERSON HILLS, Pa. —

The driver of a pick-up truck was arrested after he crashed into a utility pole on Route 885 before 4 a.m. Saturday.

Duquesne Light was on scene repairing the damage and they estimate it will take them until 1 p.m. before the pole is replaced.

Until the work is complete, Route 885 will be closed between Coal Valley Road and North Lewis Run.

Currently, the driver is being treated at Mercy Hospital for injuries sustained in the accident.

An estimated 100 people are without power due to the service interruption.
