Man Killed In Washington Co. RV Fire

CECIL TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

A Washington County man died in an RV fire Saturday morning in Cecil Township.

Washington County Coroner Tim Warco identified the victim as Michael Wannamaker, 25, of McDonald.

According to Warco, Wannamaker and a friend planned to spend the night in the RV on property along McConnell Road.

The friend, whose name was not released, awoke at 4 a.m. to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the front of the vehicle.

Investigators said the friend exited the RV and ran to the property owner's house to call 911.

Wannamaker was not able to escape the RV, which was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.

A State Police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
