Man To Stand Trial In Attempted Murrysville Carjacking

MURRYSVILLE, Pa. —

A Delmont man will stand trial in connection with the carjacking of a woman and her 10-year-old daughter last month.

The robbery charge against 23-year-old Noe Baltazar was changed to attempted robbery in court Tuesday.

The woman told police when a man got into her car, she screamed and got out of the vehicle, police said. The woman then said she saw the man reach over her daughter toward the steering wheel. The girl began screaming and hitting the man.

The man fled when someone else in the parking lot approached the vehicle to see if he could help, police said.

Police searched the area and found Baltazar hiding behind a garbage bin at the plaza. The woman and her daughter identified him as the man who got into their car.
