Massive Flames Destroy Westmoreland County Barn

The county fire marshal is trying to figure out what sparked the flames at a dairy farm in Westmoreland County overnight.

Multiple companies battled the two-alarm fire at the Lone Oak Farms Barn on Shady Road in Salem Township around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The chief said the 160 cows inside the barn were able to get out safely.

Firefighters were able to save a milking parlor that was attached to the barn.

No one was hurt.
