Mistrial Declared In Fatal Shooting After Beaver Falls Brawl

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. —

A judge has declared a mistrial for a Beaver County man accused in the fatal shooting of another man.

Beaver Falls police said James Pickens Jr. shot Christopher Harris in March 2007 after a fight.

After the shooting, police said Pickens fled the state and was arrested in Florida 10 days later.

The judge declared the trial a stalemate after jurors could not reach a unanimous verdict.

Pickens remains in the Beaver County Jail.
