Monroeville Toddler Falls From Fourth-Floor Window

 

MONROEVILLE, Pa. —

A 2-year-old was injured when he fell out of a fourth-floor window.

The incident happened at about 9 p.m. in the Fox Hill Apartments on Fox Hill Drive in Monroeville.

When emergency responders arrived, the child was found lying face-up approximately 40 feet below the open window. A window screen was underneath the young boy, and the window blinds were next to him in an evergreen tree. He was conscious, moving and crying when treated at the scene by Monroeville Fire Department Paramedics, and he is currently being treated at Children's Hospital.

Monroeville Police reported that the child was in the care of an adult baby sitter at the time of the incident. The preliminary investigation does not reveal any criminal activity. No names are being released at this time.
