Moon Restaurant To Hold Fundraiser For Boy Mauled By Pit Bull

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

A Moon Township restaurant is holding a fundraiser for a 5-year-old boy whose face was mauled by a pit bull earlier this month in Coraopolis.

The boy, who has been identified by his first name, Tyler, was bitten in the face by his aunt's dog at her Birch Way home.

Hoss' Steak and Sea House is holding the fundraiser and bake sale on Tuesday. A portion of the proceeds will go toward Tyler's medical bills.

At last check, the boy was in critical but stable condition.

Police said the boy was attacked when he went into the back yard to feed the dog, which was tied up. Police don't know why the animal, which weighs about 70 pounds, attacked the boy.

Police said the 10-year-old dog, named "Stiff," was docile when Triangle Pet animal control officers took him away.
