PennDOT District 11 said that most major construction activities in Allegheny County will be suspended this weekend.

Long-term restrictions will remain in place.

Parkway East (I-376)

Squirrel Hill Tunnel Rehabilitation

No restrictions Friday night, Aug. 31 through Monday night, Sept. 3. Overnight single lane traffic in the westbound tunnel will resume on Tuesday night, Sept. 4

Grant Street Tunnel improvements

No restrictions. Overnight closures of westbound I-376 in the bathtub area will resume on Tuesday night, Sept. 4.

I-579/Crosstown Boulevard/Veterans Bridge

Ramp improvements

No additional restrictions. The long-term closure of the ramp from southbound I-579 (Crosstown Boulevard) to the Boulevard of the Allies will remain in place.

Banksville Road

Roadway improvements

Work requiring single lane closures will occur in both directions from 8 p.m. on Friday to 6 a.m. on Saturday. No work will occur for the remainder of the weekend. Work and lane closures will resume on Tuesday morning, Sept. 4.
