Mountain Biker Found Dead; Might Have Hit Head On Rock

BEAVER, Pa. —

Police believe a Maine man was killed when his mountain bike crashed on a steep hill in western Pennsylvania.

Brighton Township police Chief Howard Blinn said a jogger found the body of Robert Anderson, 44, at about 3:15 p.m. Sunday.

The chief said it appears Anderson, of Long Island, Maine, was thrown from his bike and hit his head on a rock at Brady's Run Park.

Blinn said Anderson was in the area visiting his mother, who was watching his 6-year-old daughter when he was killed.

Brady's Run is owned by Beaver County an is about 25 miles northwest of Pittsburgh.
