Murdered Dentist Remembered Two Years After Killing

Family And Friends Hold Vigil

BLAIRSVILLE, Pa. —

Family and friends gathered Sunday night to remember a dentist murdered in Blairsville two years ago.

Dr. John Yelenic was found dead along Spring Street on April 13, 2006.

His sister, Mary Ann Clark told Channel 11, "In order to help everyone remember the kind of person he was, we've decided to have this vigil to remember him and celebrate the good person he was."

Police believe the dentist was attacked with a knife during an argument with State Trooper Kevin Foley.

Foley is awaiting trial.
