SOUTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
Police said Joshua Orndoff, 19, was found in an enclosed slide at Billy Bell Park, along Manse Street in South Strabane Township.
When police got to the entrance, they said they found clothes, shoes, a cell phone and wallet.
Witnesses Caroline McVeigh and Sharon Curry said there were about 40 people at the park when the man was found Saturday night at about 8 p.m.
“It would scare me if I was by myself,” said Curry. “Why is he naked, and what’s he going to do? It’s not very good. People are bringing their children here. It would intimidate someone.”
“You see children on the swing set there. That's not a good thing," said McVeigh.
Police said Orndoff was inside the slide holding a large bag of what they believed was marijuana.
Police said he shouted obscenities as he was arrested and had bleeding cuts near his left ear. They said he also beat the windows of the squad car with his hands and feet when placed inside.
Police took Orndoff to a hospital for evaluation. He faces a number of criminal charges, including possession with intent to deliver, indecent exposure, public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and open lewdness.
