New Ownership Brews For Latrobe

Final Vote May Come Next Week

LATROBE, Pa. —

Union workers at Latrobe Brewing Co. unanimously voted Sunday to cut ties with current owner Inbev USA and accept the offer from Wisconsin-based City Brewing.

Even though this was only an initial vote, employees are happy with the progress.

Union representative Joe Mulheren said, "They're very happy to get the money that they do deserve, that they work hard for."

The final vote will come sometime next week, possibly next Sunday.

Anheuser Busch bought the rights to the Rolling Rock recipe and bottle, but not the building.

The brewery will close if a new owner is not found by the end of July.
