Numerous Shots In Garfield Overnight; Suspect ID'd

Police Say Man Walked Up, Down Street With Weapon

PITTSBURGH —

Police arrested a man accused of firing shots inside Pittsburgh's Garfield neighborhood early Friday morning.

Investigators said George Johnson was walking up and down Kinkaid Street randomly firing shots from two handguns.

Shell casings covered the ground, police said, and the tire of a nearby vehicle was flattened.

Residents said it sounded like fireworks, but they said they got scared when they saw the man with the gun.

Police said Johnson faces numerous charges. No one was injured in the incident.
