Nurses, Patients Reunite At Zoo

PITTSBURGH —

More than 100 children who spent time in the intensive care unit at Magee Women's Hospital were reunited today.

The children, who range in age from 4 months old to teenagers, met with the nurses who cared for them in the hospital.

This all took place at the Pittsburgh Zoo.

One mother said it was nice to see the nurses out of the hospital.

"It's our first reunion after she was born and we get to see lots of the nurses that took care of her and helped keep us together while we were in the ICU. It's exciting," said Rika Irwin.

The Zoo also provided a hands-on experience with some of the baby animals.
