Oakmont Break Leaves 20 Homes Without Water

Break Flooded South Side Streets On Sunday

OAKMONT, Pa. —

An overnight water main break affected 20 homes in Oakmont.

A break in a 12-inch line shut down Allegheny Avenue at Hulton Road at 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Houses along Allegheny Avenue have no water. However, road crews made repairs in time for the morning rush.

This was the second break to affect a local street in just two days.

A break in a 16-inch line closed Sarah Street on the South Side for more than 12 hours on Monday. UPMC South Side did not have running water.

Water flooded the street and several basements.
