Pedi-Cabs Offers Green Alternative To Driving

PITTSBURGH —

The latest transportation trend is pulling into Pittsburgh, and it's emmission free.

You may have already seen "Green Gears Pedi-Cabs" around town.

The service offers an innovative way to get where you need to be, by riding in a human-powered bicycle cart.

The company is also creating jobs for drivers, and offering advertising space on the cabs.

"I think there's no better way to see a city than with pedi-cab. Pittsburgh's challenged with transportation and this is an alternative, another option for people," said co-owner Paul Kletter.

Pedi-cab services are already offered in many other cities.

Green gears debuted in Pittsburgh's during the St. Patrick's Day parade.
