Penn State cheerleader heads home to KY after fall from window

By Melanie Gillespie

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. —

The Penn State cheerleader who fell five stories out of an apartment building window last month is back in her home state.

Paige Roque's family tweeted earlier Sunday: Paige was on her way back to Kentucky.

Roque progressed enough she could fly home for the holidays.

She suffered a broken pelvis and a severe brain injury after falling from a window at Calders Common Apartments in October.

She was treated at Altoona Regional.

Police ruled the fall an accident.
