Hardy Turns 84 Years Old

 

FARMINGTON, Pa. —

Celebrities flocked to Pennsylvania to party hardy.

They took the stage for a big birthday celebration.

The founder of 84 Lumber turned 84 years old.

It was an exclusive party this weekend in honor of Joe Hardy.

More than 500 guests joined Hardy and his family at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort for the all-day affair that started at 2 p.m. and ran until 2 a.m.

A who's who of celebrities, lawmakers and entertainers were birthday guests.

Actress and singer Bette Midler opened the day performing at lunch on the airstrip.

Then party-goers moved inside to the cigar lounge where they were treated to a surprise performance by pop star Christina Aguilera.

A lavish dinner and entertainment by Broadway's "Chorus Line" was next on the agenda..

Robin Williams rounded out the star-studded entertainment with a comedy show.

Other guest included "Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous" star Robin Leach, who wished Hardy congratulations on achieving all his champagne wishes and caviar dreams, former U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge, Pittsburgh Steelers standout Troy Polamalu, Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, and British Lord Peter Palumbo.

A Hardy family spokesperson said the bash was thrown with the millionaire’s private money.
